When the catastrophe occurred, a group of people followed a supercomputer's oracle and survived. They even also rebuilt their settlement under its commands. This group of people are known as the “Receivers”.
They launched an expedition plan with the goal of restoring other supercomputer terminals. Modest and her bodyguard Orvyn are honorably chosen for this mission.
